Easy Steps To Apply For A Singapore Visa

$

Singapore is a metropolitan Island, making it one of the busiest countries in South East Asia. The temperate weather, great attraction sites and many business opportunities are just a few reasons the country receives visitors by the millions. Most people find it an arduous task to access travel documents whenever they need to travel to any part of the world. However, One Visa helps to get PEP and advise that getting a Singapore visa is a rather straightforward task which anyone can do with ease. The procedure below applies.

Determine whether you need a Singapore Visa

Some countries do not need a visa to enter Singapore and if you are lucky to have come from such a region, then you will skip the easy process. However, all other people from the other regions will need to apply for this crucial document.  Others who need a visa include;

  • People with a refugee travel document from all middle east countries
  • People with a temporary passport from U.A.E.
  • Hong Kong I.D.

Confirm if you have all travel and medical documents

Ensuring that these crucial documents are ready will help you have an easy time processing the visa. Additionally, a passport with a longer validity will come in handy if one needs to stay a little longer. When it comes to medical documents, visitors are required to have a yellow fever vaccination, particularly those who have been to countries with such an endemic.

Fill visa application forms

The three-page form is easy to fill and one can download it online with ease. If not, it is available for free at any Singapore mission. The other documents one will need to submit alongside the filled forms include:

  • A recently taken passport size photo
  • Photocopy of the passport page with biodata
  • An introduction letter (with your local contact)

Assistance by authorized visa agents

Filling a form is easy but one will need the assistance of an authorized visa agent to submit the form on their behalf. They use the ‘Submission of Application of Visa Electronically’ or SAVE as it’s commonly known. Other agents who have the rights to access the portal include strategic partners. Lastly, the local contact person can submit the form for you.

When it comes to the letter of introduction, the agent will need to write it for you, or your embassy in Singapore, or the one that handles Singapore matters. At this point, one may be asked to provide necessary documents and as such they must do so.

Making the payments

Depending on the process you are using, paying the SGD 30 required for the visa is very easy. If using the online method, you will have to pay using a MasterCard or Visa credit or debit card. Sometimes, they ask you for a security deposit of SGD of 1,000 which is refundable on the condition one does not break the agreements as stated by security bonds.

The visa

It takes approximately one working day to process the visa. This does not include the day the application was submitted, holiday or weekend. Once the visa is approved, you or your agent can print a copy of the electronic visa.

Lastly but not least, the visa has a 30-day validity and can be extended at the immigration department for ninety more days.

How I Watch Football Games While Travelling

$

I am American and, as most of Americans, I can die for my football team.

On the other hand, I am a traveller. And not just a vacation type tourist, who takes ten-days annual vacations. I love travelling hard, being on wheels for months, crossing the country back and forth. This is a good thing of being a freelancer.

On the road you can deal with the lack of comfort, the absence of your best friends and your mother’s lasagna, however, it is not possible to miss the Super Bowl. How do I deal with it not having a couch with a personal TV set? These are my three favorite ways to enjoy football while travelling, and I am happy to share them with you.

Going to the Sports Bar

Some of the best experiences I’d had and some of the best people I’d met was while watching a football game in a bar. It is simply a great atmosphere of both hazard and relaxation. You take a drink or two, discuss your favorite players with a new mate and often end-up having long talks with the bartender.

The most reliable are bars with DirecTV, where you can watch a game in real time. Just be sure to manage the differences in time and catch the game you want.

Go To The Sports Store

Whenever I go to a sport store such as Nike to buy some football equipment, I can always get the latest updates on my team and the games they play. You can ask the store owner or the people who shop at the store for news and scores. There is no excuse. Last time when I was shopping for some football visors, I met a guy at the shop and we had such a great time discussing about the teams and what we predict in the next games.

Watching the game on TV or online

This is more calm and isolated way. When I need time alone, I either watch the game on TV, plugging in at any of RV parks, or surfing the Internet. If the connection is decent, I always can find some illegal broadcasts of NFL games.

However, in this case, tons of advertisements pop up, so you have to deal with the annoying commercials. Well, we know that the only free cheese in the mouse trap, but to avoid those traps I use Adblock and some features of Chrome to stop the ads. Yet, they still find their ways to appear.

Supporting your team at the stadium

This is my favorite kind of watching the football games while traveling. When you do not care where to go as long as you are on the road, you can follow your team from game to game. I tried it a couple of times, and it felt like a real adventure.

Bad thing that sometimes I had to travel for a week just to get to another spot. Another not pleasant thing is the cost of the ticket for NFL game. After paying up to $200 just for one crazy night in the stadium, you have to be ready to pay the same in a few days, plus the cost of gas if you travel cross country.

Good thing that in this way you get to visit unusual places and you have a feeling of being a real football fan. You also meet a few familiar supporters at each game, you make friends, go to a bar afterward and remember your travelling experience forever.

Top 7 Things to do in LA (That Aren’t Theme Parks)

Source

Most guidebooks suggest you must visit at least one of the theme parks when you’re in LA. People always rave on about how awesome Disneyland is or why you should visit the Harry Potter theme park. After finding one of the most awesome Los Angeles vacation rentals, do you really want to spend all your time queuing to get on a roller-coaster? Probably not. So, here are the top seven things to do in LA that aren’t theme parks.

1# Enjoy the Views from OUE Skyspace:

The views from the observation deck that’s suspended 1,000 feet above Los Angeles will take your breath away. The viewing area is inside the U.S. Bank Tower and has something very different and special about it. Something that you can only find here in LA – the outdoor glass slide. If you’re brave enough, you can experience the outdoor glass slide that stretches 45 feet from the 70th to the 69th floor. This is the first on a skyscraper and offers a unique and unforgettable experience in Los Angeles.

Not everyone will want to see the solid building disappear from beneath their feet as they slide away down. And it isn’t something for the faint hearted. But, it’s certain to get your adrenaline pumping and be one of those things that you remember for the rest of your life.

2# Watch a Baseball Game:

The Dodger Stadium in LA is often viewed as the best venue in the world to see baseball. Even if you’re not an avid fan of the sport, it’s still worth visiting and catching a game just for the experience. Some people go to a game just to see the inside of this world famous stadium and the atmosphere when the Dodgers play is electric. This is one of the best things to do in LA for sports fans.

3# Watch the Sunset Over Hollywood from Runyon Canyon:

Runyon Canyon is a huge 90-acre park that’s just a few blocks away from Hollywood Boulevard. There are lots of tracks for hiking and awesome places to see the sunset over Hollywood below. You can come here in the early evening and wander around to enjoy the peacefulness and serenity of the park before witnessing one of the most spectacular sunsets ever. And, an interesting fact about Runyon Canyon is that celebs are often spotted out and about here. Who knows, maybe you’ll bump into someone you recognize as the sun descends over the City of Angles.

4# Go Cycling:

Cycling is a great way to explore Los Angeles. You can either join an organized tour or rent one and cycle independently. This is an excellent way to see the city from a different point of view and you can save money on taxis and public transport. Several bicycle lanes extend around the city like a giant spiders web that allows you to get around quickly and easily. A good idea would be to get a map to make sure you don’t get lost!

5# Ride the Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel:

If you’re at Santa Monica and want to the best views of the beach from above, check out the Ferris Wheel. This is located on the pier, which also provides amazing views of the two-mile stretch of sand. One of the special things about this Ferris Wheel is that it’s currently the only one that uses solar power in the world. Riding gives you the perfect birds-eye view of the surrounding area and an interesting travel story to share with family and friends back at home.

6# Join a Walking Tour:

One of the best ways to see and experience a city is by joining a walking tour. The number of free walking tours are increasing around the globe and you can explore the city with a local guide. This is a great way to learn about the history and story behind some of the sights. If you’re looking to get a bit more out of your trip, joining one of these comes highly recommended.

There are also lots of other more specialized walking tours in LA that range from seeing the top filming locations to one that takes you around the haunted buildings. You have to book your place on one of these tours in advance and you’ll probably have to pay a small fee. But, it will be worth it for the more personalized experience. Walking tours are popular in Los Angeles and are one of the best ways to experience the city.

7# Take a Day Trip:

Los Angeles is a large, sprawling metropolis that seems to extend on and on into eternity. Most visitors tend to spend all their time exploring the sights and attractions within the city. Few venture out and take a day trip to some of the lesser-known beaches or find the more secluded spots. If you’re looking for an adventure, rent a car and drive to some of the nearby lake towns. These offer a more relaxed experience and you’re going to get amazing photographs against the backdrop of the water. There are also several National Parks near LA where you can go hiking and enjoy the nature.

The Bottom Line:

LA isn’t just about going to theme parks. There are lots of other things happening such as epic sports events and witnessing the perfect the sunset over the most famous district in the world. So throw away the guidebook and check out some of these more awesome places instead of going to the theme parks!

A few things that will happen to you on your trip

$

When you decide to go on a trip, be it long or short there are a few things that will always happen that you do not plan for. These can be both positive or negative, but they always add to the memories of the trip. Most of the time these events do not impact on your trip to greatly but every now and then they can cause a huge hindrance or positive to the overall experience. There are a couple of things you can try and do to help elevate some problems which may be caused but others are simply out of your control. In these cases, it is best to except what has happened and move on to enjoying the rest of your journey.  We’ll look at some common travel issues and how you can try to avoid them or make the situation a little better.

There will be a delay:

No matter what you do, at some point on one of your trips there will be a delay, more so especially in less developed countries. They do not have the planning or infrastructure more developed countries have and so this is just part of life. The main things to do at this point is to develop a good sense of patience as sometimes there is simply noting you can do except wait for the next travel opportunity. If you are in a rush, such as for a flight there are always other travel options to get you to your destination if you can afford the added cost. If it is due to weather conditions then this is out of everyone’s control and it would be best to simply enjoy your surroundings and the company you have.

Loss of property:

There is nothing much worse than losing your property especially important items such as passports or electronics. But everyone at some stage has lost something on a trip, be it clothing or something more important. The best way to avoid this is to lock valuables away in a safe or bag and if you do have to carry them out, use a fanny pack or concealed bag. This keeps it closer to you and hides it from prying eyes. Always remember whatever you have lost can be replaced. It might be a hassle but it is not the end of the world. The important aspect is your health and you have the contact the correct people to get your items replaced

You will have fun

Even if disaster happens to strike you will have already had fun, or will have fun after the incident. Most things which occur are only temporary so there isn’t much point in letting it over shadow the rest of your trip. Enjoy the moments you are there and worry about everything else only when it is necessary.

These are just three little things that will happen to you at some stage no matter what kind of journey you are on. Sometimes they will have a major impact and other times you will barely notice them.

4 Tips For Business Travel

More than anything, today’s competitive market is marked by one thing: mobility. The ability to work in, for example, Seattle and still maintain a satisfactory business relationship with a fellow businessman or businesswoman in Beijing, is a powerful asset that one should never overlook.

Of course, that, although this example may feel exaggerated, it can be applied to any long-distance business relationship.

In business, mobility is key, therefore, it is only rational that any successful businessman may have the traveling experience that guarantees a smooth and successful trip.

When I was initially assigned my first overseas business trip to attend a business event, I felt as ready and as eager as possible. And boy oh boy, was I unprepared for what lay ahead! From missing luggage to missing documents, I have to say my first trip was a complete fiasco. But (and I am happy to share this), after about 10 years of experience, I can now say overseas and long-distance domestic business trips are now my expertise. So, in order to help out those who may be preparing for their first trip, or those who just need a couple tips to achieve maximum professional efficiency while traveling, I have decided to write this article. Although these are just some short tips, I see them as the fundamental steps one must follow to guarantee an accident-free business trip abroad. Without any further ado, here are my tips for business travel:

#1. Travel light, carry your essentials with you at all times

The first rule I learned was simple but painful: luggage goes missing from time to time. From that incident on I always try to carry all my essentials with me! If I am going on a short trip, I prefer to carry only small bag that stays with me the whole flight. On the other hand, if I am staying for a longer period of time, I dispatch a bag, while still carrying a bag with me containing all my important files and a change of clothes in case something happens to my luggage.

#2. Wi-Fi is your best friend…when it’s available

Wi-Fi is the holy grail of traveling in business. The key here is to know when you can take advantage of this amazing tool! For example, up until last year, Lisbon’s Airport only allowed 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi per person. Although the situation has since changed, I am sure there are still plenty of airports with limited or even non-existing connection. Before departing, make sure you search if the airport does have Wi-Fi available. If you do not want to take any risks, carrying your own hotspot is also a great idea to access all your business needs.

#3. A power bank is a great investment

It has happened more than once that I’m mid-sentence and my computer shuts down. Running out of battery truly is the worst possible nuisance while traveling. While most airports do have readily available “charging stations” where you can charge all your devices, investing in a power bank can be a marvelous idea! This way, you don’t run the risk of unexpectantly running out of battery during, for example, a long flight.

#4. Preparation is key

Don’t underestimate the power of preparation and organization. Make sure you create a digital folder, or carry with you a special folder, containing all the required paperwork. Don’t be afraid to even create a short checklist in order to ensure you did not forget any important document. It is also highly helpful to always have your schedule readily available, so you can quickly find exactly how much time you have to work during your business trip.

We hope you enjoyed this article and that you found some useful tips which you are ready and eager to put into action on your next business trip!

Some of the Best Beaches in South Florida

Florida is home to some of the best beaches in the world. Pedro Martin has always been passionate about his state, and he wanted to do something that allowed him to incorporate his passion for South Florida with his passion for community spirit and real estate. Hence, for Pedro Martin Terra Group, which he founded with his father, was the perfect opportunity to bring all of that together. The company develops and invests in real estate the redefine the way communities work. And since the beaches are an integral part of every Floridian’s life, he felt that drawing some attention to some of its best beaches would be a good starting point.

The Best Beaches in Florida

  • Bahia Honda State Park, in the Florida Keys, is not to be missed. White, sandy beaches make people feel as if they are in paradise.
  • South Walton County is home to numerous beaches with truly powdery sand. This is because the sand is nearly 100% pure quartz. It truly pampers the feet!
  • Vero Beach is found close to Miami. It is a true hotspot in the state and particularly for treasure hunters. Treasures like gold doubloons are frequently found here. This is because, around three centuries ago, a fleet of Spanish ships laden with treasure was wrecked on the reefs. Relics are still discovered almost daily. If you hope to find some, then try the Sea Grape Trail.
  • Palm Beach is the place to be for those who want to rub shoulders with millionaires and love to see mansions and superyachts. This is where the rich and famous congregate, docking their yachts in front of their 10,000 square foot homes.
  • South Beach, meanwhile, is many people’s favorite beach. This is the place to see and be seen. All clothing worn here has expensive designer labels on it. Don’t miss a trip on Ocean Drive, where you can really feel part of this eclectic, upscale town.
  • Dry Tortugas National Park is a fantastic South Florida beach as well. It is in Key West and can only be reached by plane or by ferry. It is a fantastic spot for snorkeling, as the coral reef is teaming with rainbow colored tropical fish. The water is crystal clear and not to be missed.

These are just some of the beaches in South Florida that are truly not to be missed. For Pedro Martin, they make it obvious why the state is known as the “Sunshine State”. Each beach is unique and each is surrounded by a community of people who love to be together and who come together in the face of any problems, including the recent Hurricane Irma. For Martin, South Florida is the place to be, and he is proud to be able to work with his father on revitalizing certain communities, improving others, and even building new, sustainable developments. Indeed, Terra Group has played an important role in developing the economy of the region and will continue to do so.

Why Honeymoon Yacht Charters are the Hottest New Trend

$

A honeymoon yacht charter is the ultimate way to begin married life. As your luxury yacht floats away from land, the world stills, all the organization stress of the wedding falls away, and you enter a luxurious private haven where you and your partner are the only people who matter in the world.

On a honeymoon yacht charter, you’re surrounded by sparkling seas and sunny skies, dropping anchor in secluded coves, having luxury picnics on perfect sandbars, and strolling through exotic ports, where donkeys wander past Hermes and Chanel boutiques on palm-lined streets.

The memories on a honeymoon yacht charter will last a lifetime, as you dive off the swim platform for a snorkel before breakfast, have a late afternoon massage in an overwater spa bungalow, or take a sunset walk along a tropical beach, coconuts washing up on the shore. Long romantic nights are spent having candlelit dinners on deck, or relaxing in the Jacuzzi with a bottle of champagne under starlit skies, planning your life together.

If you want some excitement on your honeymoon, a yacht charter delivers in style – whether that’s going for a night dive with sharks in the Maldives, hiking up to an active volcanic crater in Sicily, or kayaking through icebergs in Alaska. Private yachts also carry a wide array of watertoys to provide fun and adrenaline on the water during your charter – from jetpacks and jetskis to waterslides and even submarines.

Your crew are on hand to deliver the honeymoon that dreams are made of, delivering seven star service that never feels intrusive. The captain and private chef will come to you each morning at breakfast to discuss the activities and menus for the day, the interior crew will serve meals at beautifully dressed tables and keep your palatial master suite looking spotless, and the deck crew will teach you watersports and drop you ashore in the high-speed tender. Some yachts also have specialist crew members, such as masseuses and beauticians, dive instructors and fitness gurus.

A honeymoon yacht charter provides a level of privacy and exclusivity that cannot be matched in a hotel, and a glamorous means of effortless travel that cannot be found in any upscale villa or resort. A hotel or villa honeymoon means you’ll have to get in a taxi or shuttle to travel to the sights, and if you want to explore other islands, you’ll have to either move hotels, or spend your days on ferries or local airports. On a yacht honeymoon charter, you just unpack once (or let the stewardess unpack for you), and then sit back as the yacht floats from one stunning destination to the next.

A superyacht charter offers the best of all honeymoon holidays, creating an oasis of privacy, luxury, and adventure. What better way to start your lives together than with a honeymoon yacht charter?

Capturing Canada – The Places You Need To See To Believe

When you compare travel wish lists with most people, you might find that almost everyone has Canada somewhere in their list, and for good reason. With friendly people, great food and a massively diverse option of locales and natural wonders to choose from, it’s no wonder so many people want to check out the Great White North. If you’re planning to head out to this wild and wonderful land, check out the below for some great tips on things to see while on a holiday to Canada.

Western Canada

The western province of Alberta is one of the best places in Canada if you want a little bit of everything. From the Badlands, east of Calgary to the majestic Rocky Mountains stretching along the border with British Columbia, Alberta has something for everyone. With Calgary as a huge international hub being only an hour away from small mountain towns such as Canmore and the bigger tourist town of Banff, make Calgary a great place to start your trip. The capital city of Edmonton is home to the living history museum, Fort Edmonton Park which is fully open between May and September and open occasionally the rest of the year for special events at Halloween and Christmas. Don’t forget to visit West Edmonton Mall to check out a replica of Columbus’ Santa Maria, extensive sea life caverns, two indoor mini-golf courses, 800 shops and restaurants, indoor waterpark and full amusement park. Hob nob with locals at one of the bars that stretch down Whyte Ave, especially during Edmonton Oilers games when it gets nicknamed the Blue Mile. Step back in time millions of years in the Alberta Badlands and bone up on your dinosaur knowledge in the small town of Drumheller, home of some seriously stunning landscapes with layered hills of sedimentary rock that help date the region back to periods such as the Cretaceous and Jurassic.

Eastern Canada

Want something a bit more culturally flavoured? Eastern Canada is awash with all the cultural focus of Canada’s colonial past and highlights it as being one of the primary countries of “the new world”. Check out some impressive French inspired cuisine in Quebec and stay at the impressive Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, a hotel that is more castle than anything and has a gorgeous view of the historic St Lawrence River that the first explorers used to access what became New France. If you’re looking for some beaches, head over to the island of Nova Scotia, literally New Scotland, where you can visit some gorgeous beaches by day and sample the local wines by night. Across the water from Nova Scotia’s north shore is New Brunswick, home to the Bay of Fundy National Park where you can revel at nature’s unpredictable awe through the world’s highest tide levels, then explore the area and its 25 waterfalls. For the ultimate in colonial history, head to the island of Newfoundland, a mere 4 and a half hours from London by plane. Having been part of Great Britain until 1949 and relatively secluded from the rest of Canada, the island has retained a huge cultural difference to the rest of the country and is home to not just its own unique cuisines, but also its own accents which can be difficult to understand being a mix of West Country, Irish and Cornish. You won’t regret your time in Newfoundland, but try to plan your visit for April to June when the icebergs come down the east coast, sometimes spending a week in the coves and bays before moving on.

There you have a couple of great reasons to visit Canada, and suggestions on what to see and do while you’re there. With so many different things to do from coast to coast the only problem you’ll face is choosing where to start on this vast, gorgeous and welcoming country.

Slightly Different Vacation Ideas For 2018

$
0
0

Are you getting a little bit bored with spending 2 weeks on a beach in the same place each year? Perhaps you would say not but with so many other vacation ideas out there, don’t you think that it could be time for a change? If the answer to this is yes then we have some really cool and slightly different vacation ideas for your 2018 trip, that differ from the usual fortnight in the sun.

You may have already indulged in some of these trips but if not, they could serve as some new ideas for your next vacation.

Cruise

Cruises have a reputation for being filled with the oldie generation but this is simply not the case. Cruise ships are a great way to take a vacation as you can see many different destinations in the same trip. Cruise ships are also fully geared up for you to enjoy your time on board and many of them feature nightclubs, casinos, theaters and many swimming pools for you to enjoy. Another myth about cruises is that they cost an eye watering sum of money but again this is not the case and you can get a great deal on a cruise to spend your next vacation.

City Living

A lot of people like to spend their long vacations on the beach and weekend breaks to see cities but it doesn’t have to be this way and you could spend your vacation unearthing a new city. Across the world there are some amazing cities which you could choose to visit for a week or two and really experience it rather than simply dipping your toe on a weekend break. The other beauty of city trips is that they will usually have an international airport and you can find some great prices for flights to these big cities.

Adventure

Why not  really ramp up the adventure on your next break and indulge in some sporting action as part of your vacation. The type of activity which you do will depend very much on what kind of things you like but you could go on a skiing vacation, a kayaking adventure or even an adrenalin fueled visit to somewhere such as New Zealand where you can bungee jump, skydive and raft your way through your vacation.

Multi Stop

Vacations are about taking a break from daily life and there is nothing stopping you from doing just that, but traveling between a few different places as you go. Europe for example is a great continent which you can travel between with ease and experience a few different destinations on your vacation. As long as you plan your trip in the right way, you can ensure that you have enough time to relax, and enough time to do some traveling in between. A trip like this will ensure that you get enough time to relax yourself before heading back to the real world, and gives you the added benefit of seeing multiple places in a single trip.

What To Look For In Party Venues In Edinburgh

$

Coming up with the perfect space to host a party or event can be more than a little stressful. There are so many different considerations to take into account and it can feel overwhelming to see all of the different options on offer. Even if you decide to only look at party venues in Edinburgh, then you are still presented with a huge number of different options. Why not use the suggestions on this list as a way to narrow down your options and throw the best party you have ever attended.

1. If The Event Will Continue Overnight

If your guests will be staying overnight, you need to make sure that there are going to be rooms available. There are a number of different hotels, houses, and venues that are able to offer rooms to parties, ensuring that no-one goes out drunk driving and that people who come in from out of town are able to be comfortable for the night.

2. If You Need Professional Catering

If you need a professional catering group, you might be best off going with one of the larger hotels. This is because they employ professional catering staff who are comfortable with the industrial kitchens and who are able to begin prepping for your party several days ahead of time.

3. If You Are Looking For A Larger Space

Many of the largest hotels in the area are available for hire. These hotels offer large ball rooms, more than enough space for people to spread out, linked rooms, professional facilities, and so much more. They are also staffed by professionals who know what they are doing and can make your party flow much nicer than other people you might hire.

4. If You Are Basing Your Event Around Something Historic

If you want to have a historic recreation or you just want to celebrate something in the history of Scotland that has made you feel particularly proud, there are a number of different venues available for your usage. Venues such as the “National War Museum,” or the “Scotch Whisky Heritage Experience,” offer different options for party and event hire.

When you’re little, the whole world is your classroom. Not only do children learn tons of new things at school, there are many educational activities you can do at home, and the sky is the limit when it comes to all the things you can learn when you step foot outside your door.

It is true that there are so many things children can learn, but if they aren’t interested and engaged, it isn’t going to stick. That’s where educational adventures come in.

By visiting a new place with your little ones, they’re sure to learn tons of things, and you’ll likely end up making memories that will last a lifetime in the process.

Whether you’re visiting the Phoenix area from out of town or you’ve lived here all your life, there are a few area educational adventures that you simply can’t miss.

Rent an RV

Not only is spending time outdoors fun for children, getting closer to nature can teach them all kinds of lessons. Heading to the park is one way to do it, but you’ll get even more out of your trip if you rent an RV from Outdoorsy.

There are quite a few RV parks you can explore in the area, or you can take a road trip to another RV park in Arizona. A few fun places you can visit include:

  • Kartchner Caverns: Stay at Butterfield RV Resort and you can take a guided tour of the cavernsor learn more about caves in the 23,000-square foot Discovery Center.
  • London Bridge: Not only can you try fishing, hiking, or boating, you can see the famous London Bridge that was reconstructed not far from Islander RV Resort.
  • Meteor Crater: Named after its biggest attraction, Meteor Crater RV Park brings you close to the best-preserved meteorite impact site on the entire planet.

Explore the Musical Instrument Museum

If you want to do a little learning and exploring, a museum is a safe bet, but most kids grow weary of your run-of-the-mill museums. Re-spark their interest in museums by visiting the Musical Instrument Museum.

Not only can you explore the galleries of instruments, you can listen to live performances by checking out their event calendar.

Visit the Pioneer Living History Village

Learning about history is so important. Unfortunately, reading about it can be so boring. Instead of reading about it, experience it at the Pioneer Living History Village.

It includes Nearly two dozen buildings from the 1800’s to explore, and you can ask one of the town’s residents more about what life was like during that time. Interactive displays make visiting the village even more fun.

Learning doesn’t have to mean sitting behind a desk and learning about the world around you from a textbook. Show the kids in your life that learning can be fun!

Make a weekend of it and rent an RV or simply spend an afternoon in the Musical Instrument Museum. You’ll take away wonderful memories and learn something new in the process.

How New York City Will Change You

Many of us dream of living in New York City, and only a few of us make it there. However, no matter if you have the heart to stay, everyone should visit this incredible city at least once in their lives. With its intense culture and deep history, knowing the real New York City will truly change yours for the better.

The Truest Form of Inspiration

NYC may be a nesting ground for weirdos, but those weirdos are the truest to their heart and abilities. The art and theatre in New York City is always changing, including high-budget Broadway shows to Off Broadway gems. Regardless of budget, the artists that you find in New York City could truly change your perception of beauty.

The Epitome of Culture

If you visit New York City and never leave Manhattan, it is impossible to experience the culture that is saturated throughout. The other four boroughs – Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx – have their own individual flavor, ethnic background, and culture. See the Brooklyn Zoo, a spooky ship graveyard in Staten Island, and a variety of small, community-based history museums. With concentrated cultural areas like Little Italy and Chinatown, there is something for everyone in this magnetic melting pot.

Perfection for the Foodies

New York City is more than historical monuments and Central Park sunset tours: it is also for foodies. You could fill a week’s’ time just with eating at all the restaurants in the city. From luxurious celebrity hotspots to mom-and-pop joints that will remind of you of your mother’s home cooking, there are more than just $1 pizza deals and food carts in NYC.

There is little to no reason to visit national chains and restaurants with famous names while in NYC. You can live there for several years and only visit truly homemade eateries. While iconic places like the Katz Deli are a must for anyone, visitor and resident alike, new names such as Pomme Frites in the East Village are the ‘holes in the wall’ that you need to try.

An Accepting Attitude

While some would argue that New Yorkers are simply so used to unconventional that they ignore it, you can still count on the ability to be yourself in New York City. From outlandish fashion to futuristic modern art, you can express yourself in a way that makes you happy and comfortable.

Cherishing the View

The skyline of New York City reminds you why you’re here on Earth, and can really help you remember how beautiful the world is. Whether you are in the lush Central Park or getting a full view of Manhattan from atop the Chrysler Building, New York City’s views are truly astonishing and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

When you visit New York City, it can be hard to see everything at once. Due to the nature of this ever-changing city, it is possible to visit each year for the rest of your life and never see the same attraction twice. From hidden gems to fan-favorite attractions, New York City is going to change how you see the world and how much you love yourself.

A Music Lover’s Guide to New York City

Most people enjoy listening to music, whether it be while exercising or listening to the radio during their morning commute. True music lovers, however, are a different breed. Their tastes are diverse and endless. They prefer to discover new things and listen to music constantly. Traveling revolves around experiencing music from around the globe.

New York City is a place that is rich in musical culture and may become a music lover’s muse after just one visit. Here are a few must-see places for music lovers venturing to the Big Apple.

Strawberry Fields

If music lovers are a different breed, then Beatles fans make up their own, separate category within that breed. That’s why music lovers and Beatles fans alike should take a moment to reflect on an important piece of musical history by visiting Strawberry Fields in Central Park.

This 2.5-acre piece of land in Central Park features a stone monument with the word “Imagine” as a tribute to the late John Lennon. The memorial was created by Bruce Kelly and was dedicated to Lennon on what would have been his 45th birthday. The spot is significant as it is near his apartment, where he was shot and killed in 1980.

Stay at the Chelsea Hotel

New York City is filled with different interesting places for you to rest your head at night. However, the Chelsea Hotel might be most appealing to music lovers. This famous destination was the resting spot for musical legends, like Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, and Madonna. Leonard Cohen even wrote a song called “Chelsea Hotel #2” about his time there.

If staying at the Chelsea Hotel isn’t feasible–it’s been closed and reopened a few times recently–be sure to stop by and pay tribute to this rest stop for rare individuals.

The Apollo Theater

The Apollo Theater is an absolute must-see for music lovers in the Big Apple. Located in the Manhattan neighborhood of Harlem, this spot is where legendary musicians started their careers, often on amateur nights. Greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, and Aretha Franklin have sung their hearts out at the Apollo, and you can feel the echoes of their greatness when you walk through the doors.

While you’re in Harlem, be sure to check out the different attractions that showcase the historical significance–particularly in the African American culture– of the area.

Carnegie Hall

Carnegie Hall is a historically significant concert hall in Manhattan. Built in 1891, this hall seats over 2,000 people on five separate levels overlooking the stage. Classic artists like Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, and the Beatles have played at Carnegie along with numerous orchestras and symphonies. Today it is still an honor to be able to step on the stage and have your voice heard, regardless of skill level or background.

Visit Bargemusic

Experience something completely different from what you’re used to when you visit Bargemusic, located on the East River. This floating concert hall features classical music with stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan, especially in the evening.

Seek Out a Local Show

If you tire of seeing attractions that are historically significant in the world of music, find something to experience in the now. See what local bars and nightclubs in your area are featuring live music during your visit.

Think outside the box and go to a musical event that is outside your comfort zone. Discover something new and amazing, so you can say “I heard them back before they were famous” during your next trip to the Big Apple. The Stone in the East Village is a great source of new music, while the servers at Ellen’s Stardust Diner are known to randomly burst into song.

Many people think of vacation season all year long, and they can’t wait for it to actually come so that they can go to some exotic place. But why is this the case? Why do we crave going on a holiday? And are there some benefits to our going on a vacation? Read below and find out.

Well, the first thing that will benefit you if you go on a holiday is the fact that you will be able to relax and rest from all of the stresses that you might have had back home. After all, most of us get stuck in a routine back home, and we tend to work stressful 9-5 jobs all year long. Going on a vacation is our one and only refuge from this state of affairs, and it will rejuvenate us and refill our energy stores.

The stress that you may be feeling from working hard and doing repetitive stuff on a daily basis for a long period of time will quickly dissipate if you shake things up a bit. And what better way for you to do this than by going on a vacation? Typically, in most tourist hotspots you will find that there are many things that you can do. You can go to the beach and enjoy lounging under the hot sun, for one. In this case, we recommend you to use a tanning product such as lovemelanotan.

The world is a rich place when it comes to vacation hotspots

So, you can go to Thailand in South Eastern Asia. You could go to Greece in Europe. Or you could go in Italy. Wherever you choose to go you will have something new and exciting to do. Typically, every country has its own unique cuisine – and if you’re a fan of great food, as we believe most people are, then you will be able to enjoy yourself in top restaurants all over the world.

But one of the biggest benefits that you will experience if you go on a holiday is the fact that you will meet new people from all walks of life. Typically, people of different places think and act differently. So, if you wish to expand your mind and meet a new and exciting person, then your best bet is to travel abroad.

And there are many more benefits to traveling and going on a holiday, but the best way to experience them all is by actually going on a holiday. Trust us, when you get back home you will be a new person. You will feel well rested and ready to face the challenges of your life. What we suggest you do is to go on frequent vacations so that you will experience all of the benefits on a frequent basis. And we wish you to have as much fun as possible during your stay abroad.

What to Do in New York During the Winter

After New Year, you should visit NYC to experience a winter vacation. You will come across many hotel deals because people prefer summer tourism. If you do not mind wearing an extra layer of clothes, you can even attend the must-see shows that are hosted in the winter.

Here are some things that you can do in the New York snow:

Hot Chocolate

In the recent past, the coffee shops in New York have stepped up their game, but they do not take hot chocolate very seriously. If you like this tasty beverage, you should attend the Hot Chocolate Festival in Chelsea’s City Bakery, which features a new flavor on each day of February. This means that you will get to taste 28 different hot chocolate flavors.

Ice Skating

Skating outdoors is one of the classic experiences of being in The Big Apple during the winter. If you have some money to spare, you should visit the Rockefeller Center to ice skate then take photos in front of the Prometheus statue. If you want a more spacious rink, you should head to Wollman Rink, which is an outdoor area with great vistas of the Midtown skyline as well as the treetops.

If you want to save 7 dollars, you should skate between Monday and Thursday, as it is cheaper. Another lovely skating rink is the one in Bryant Park, which is free to use but you will have to rent the skates for 20 dollars. If you are willing to brave the chill and skate near the Hudson River, you should head to Brookfield Place.

Grand Central

This train terminal is beloved by the locals for its non-stop action, which makes for a lovely spectacle. You can visit the whisper galleries and oyster bar in the building for a more immersive experience. You can go into the Great Northern Food Hall to escape the winter chill and warm yourself up with a great meal.

Brooklyn Flea

The Brooklyn Flea is a shopping tradition during the colder months thanks to its new site in Industry City. You will see more than sixty vendors peddling different type of wares from 10 in the morning to 6pm on weekends. Even if you do not want to buy anything, it would be a good idea to go and fill your stomach up with the smorgasbord that features street food and other delicious treats.

Chinese New Year

One of the most colorful events in the city is the Chinatown parade that ushers in the Lunar New Year. More than half a million people flock the streets to sample the foods on the streets and look at animated dragons parading down Canal Street. Nevertheless, many New Yorkers do not realize that Canal Street is not the only place they can celebrate the Chinese New Year.

You can also head to Queens to see a similar parade that is actually a couple of years older than the more popular one. The event is just as colorful but has fewer people in attendance, but that does not take away from its pomp and style.

Restaurant Week

Without considering that this foodie-themed week actually takes three weeks, the restaurant week event offers subsidized set meals at great hotels at a cheap price. You should look for reservations and the list of restaurants that are participating if you want to try this.

No matter what time of year it is, you should always set aside some time to visit the Statue of Liberty. You can use cruise companies such as Liberty Cruise to get there but you have to get up early to avoid crowds.

Five Star Vacation Rentals Made Affordable

Lots of people would love to go on five star vacation rentals but are afraid that they can never afford it. According to Maria Cobb Newport Beach is the best place to find these types of rentals. In fact, Kevin and Maria Cobb have started their own business Five Star Vacation Rentals, and their goal is to make sure that people can experience luxury vacations at a price they can afford. Their business now has a very high rating and people continuously review their vacation rentals as being absolutely perfect. So what is their secret?

How to Afford Five Star Vacation Rentals

Kevin and Maria Cobb understand that people work very hard all year and that they need some relaxation. They want to be away from everything that reminds them of their daily stressors, such as housework and bills. Instead, they want to do what the doctors order, which is to spend a few days living in peace with their family. They need to lose themselves in activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, or just relaxing in a luxury garden or around a pool.

Vacation rentals offer people the opportunity to do this and there are numerous ways to make sure these rentals are affordable. For instance, many rental properties have numerous bedrooms, which means that people could choose to share it with other members of their family, thereby also sharing the cost. But mainly, it is a chance to spend time with the people who truly matter and who care for and love one another.

Taking a much-needed and well-earned break, even if it is just once per year, with the family is vital for people’s health and well-being. In fact, all families should make it a priority and they should budget for the opportunity to do this as well. There are so many beautiful places in the world, including Newport Beach, that offer something for everybody, so whether you go with a party of two or a party of 20, nobody will ever have to be bored.

Choosing where to spend a holiday is very important but choosing where to stay while on that holiday is perhaps just as important. Thankfully, thanks to businesses such as Five Star Vacation Rentals, comparing different properties is now easier than ever. People can choose the parameters that they feel are of the greatest importance, such as whether it has a pool, the number of bedrooms, its proximity to the beach, and so on. Someone who is comparing what is available should also make the effort to look at the property’s rating, reading any review left by previous guests, so that they can get a real feel for what to expect.

Staying in a luxury, yet affordable, vacation rental simply heightens the overall experience. There are fantastic villas and homes available and, at least for Maria Cobb Newport Beach is the place to find most of them. Everybody owes it to themselves to check the properties out and treat themselves to a nice getaway.

Eight Things to See and Do on Your Trip to Mykonos

When it comes to those bucket list destinations for a dream vacation, Greece is often a country that pops up on many people’s lists. The country is known for its architecture and history, as well as its picturesque collection of Greek Islands. Among those islands is Mykonos, which is a wildly popular destination among tourists, and for good reason. It’s described as a very glamourous destination that manages to combine beauty with a very active nightlife scene.

If you have recently booked a trip to Mykonos, or you’re currently trying to decide if the destination is right for you, you’ll want to pay close attention to this list of the top eight things to see and do on the island.

Panagia Paraportiani

If you have an interest in churches, then the Panagia Paraportiani in Hora is not to be missed. This is the most famous church on the island and features that world-famous whitewashed rock-like finish. It is made up of four small chapels inside, and then an upper level that you can reach by using a staircase outside the church. It should be noted that the church itself is usually locked, but it’s still well worth visiting for a photo opportunity.

Aegean Maritime Museum

Also located in Hora is the Aegean Maritime Museum which is a must-visit for history and naval buffs. You’ll find historical maps and navigation instruments and be able to explore the many models of world-famous paddle steamers and sailing ships.

Paradise Beach

If you’re looking for some relaxation time, then you need to head to Paradise Beach. This is one of the most famous beaches in Mykonos thanks to its great beach and its party-atmosphere. At the same time Paradise Beach was the original nude beach of Mykonos. You’ll get the full Greek experience here. There are a number of restaurants and resorts that line the beach, which means you can laze in the sun on the beach and then easily browse the amenities when you’re done.

Little Venice

Yes, you’re in Greece but why not experience a little bit of Italian flair in the process. Little Venice is another popular spot with tourists and is well known for its historic homes that have been completely transformed. These homes have been made into nightclubs, shops, bas, and restaurants and the area is alive with activity 24/7.

Archaeological Museum of Mykonos

Here’s another one for the history buffs out there, and that’s the Archaeological Museum of Mykonos. Here you’ll find an incredible mix of collections that date back to the prehistoric to late Hellenistic period. You’ll find clay figures from the 2nd and 1st century B.C., grave stelae and funerary statues, jewellery and other small objects and pottery, all from that same period.

The Windmills

The Windmills of Mykonos are also well known and date as far back as the 16th century. While you may think that the whitewashed buildings are the calling card of the island, these windmills are just as famous and photographed by tourists. Because of its location along the history sea trade route that acted as the gateway to Asia and Europe, windmills were needed in order to refine and then compact grain for ease of transport.

The most famous windmills known as Kato Myloi can be found in Hora, where you’ll find that seven out of the original 10 are still standing. At one point the island had as many as 20 operating windmills.

The Full Greek Dining Experience

Of course, you can’t mention a list of must-see and do activities in Mykonos without also mentioning the Greek cuisine. Be sure to sample the Greek classics such as souvlaki, moussaka, pastitsio, gyros, louza, kopanisti, and baklava.

A Stay in a Luxury Villa

To cap off the experience, why not get the full effect of this luxurious destination by booking a stay in an elegant luxury villa. The Mykonos Villas Rentals market features all kinds of different options, with different price ranges which is clear when you take a look at what the Blue Villas Collection has to offer as they have multiple different sizes and prices for their villas. You can pick the location, size, amenities and atmosphere for your specific villa which means your vacation will be exactly the way you envisioned it.

Mykonos Villas Rentals are not only a luxurious type of accommodation, they also give you more space and privacy than a standard hotel room. Many also feature outdoor space, some even offer a pool.

Mykonos – a Trip and Adventure of a Lifetime

Mykonos is one of those destinations that seems to offer that perfect mix of relaxation, fun, activities, sight-seeing, history and architecture that makes it a real standout for those searching for the perfect holiday. This is just a very small sampling of what the island has to offer visitors year-round.

When it comes to choosing your next vacation destination you might be wanting to pick something with a bit of spice, excitement and an air of adventure that you just don’t get from package all inclusive deals to the Mediterranean islands or to the old standby cities of Europe. Taking the plunge on visiting a new and exotic location for a holiday can be exhilarating and just what the doctor ordered to get rid of the doldrums of the daily grind. But where to? Check out these hot African up and comers for a taste of the adventurous for you next getaway.

Egypt

Following on from the political troubles in 2011 and other safety issues since, Egypt is slowly but steadily clawing its way back to its former glory as a tourist haven. With new moves being made by the government to crack down on security issues as well as heightened checks and patrols, Egypt is now in a lot of ways much safer than London or Brussels. With so much to see and do throughout the country from the Western Desert through the Nile Valley to the Sinai peninsula and Red Sea diving, it’s no wonder so many people refuse to give up on this gem of a country.

Uganda

Touted as one of the safest African countries, Uganda is currently enjoying a boom in tourism. From outdoor options for different types of safari in Uganda all the way up to adventure sports, unique market stalls strewn about bustling towns and cities along with the friendliest people you could hope to come across, it’s not surprising that so many backpackers, flashpackers and luxury adventure-seekers have begun to flock to this sub-Saharan African nation in search for that piece of Africa for themselves.

Algeria

Some may consider this to have already been on the map, but with more and more people seeking out relatively untouched or adventurous options for hitting the slopes in the winter, Algeria is suddenly hitting everyone’s radar. Imagine zipping down the slopes of some of the most unique mountains you’ve ever skied, and for a fraction of the price. Win – win right? The rest of the year though, Algeria is a great alternative to Egypt and Morocco, a little less frequently visited than either of the other two and with a lot of great options for varying degrees of luxury for hotels and restaurants, so it’s well placed to accept even the most discerning of traveller.

Botswana

While Botswana has attracted a certain class of traveller in the past due to its reputation as being primarily a luxury based safari destination, in recent years it’s begun to open up to more casual travellers including those who aren’t seeking out safaris or who are opting for lower priced ones. Pristine natural wonders within the country such as the Okavango Delta are becoming huge draws for people of all ages, and trips on the river can warrant seeing a number of great types of wildlife without having to try too hard. This coupled with other national parks and a whole array of safari lodges makes Botswana an ideal place for outdoorsy adventure lovers looking for something new.

So if you’re looking for a great new option for a getaway this year, consider one of these fantastic African up and coming destinations and get in on the ground floor for some before they get too popular. Get those bags packed and enjoy!
